About the Role
Based in Tauranga, this Senior Leadership role sits within a business operating across the North Island, employing approximately 100 permanent staff, increasing to around 200 during peak project periods.
Reporting to the Directors, you'll lead the finance function while providing strategic financial leadership, commercial insight, and strong governance across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll influence business performance and support continued growth within a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
Provide commercial advice and strategic financial insights to the leadership team.
Manage financial controls, risk, and corporate governance.
Oversee payroll, accounts, taxation, and statutory reporting.
Drive continuous improvement across financial systems and processes.
Support business growth through sound financial planning and decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
You're a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical capability with strategic thinking and excellent interpersonal skills.
You'll Bring
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent.
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance leadership position.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
The ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
