Affordable Moving Solutions is looking for 2 x Truck Driver / Furniture Removalists to join our growing Christchurch team.

We’re a locally owned moving company with a strong reputation for being friendly, professional, and easy to deal with. We take pride in making moving day less stressful for our customers, and we’re looking for good people who want to be part of that.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the road, staying active, working with a solid team, and taking pride in delivering great service.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. No two days are the same. We are offering a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week. Based on our current workload, we anticipate the role will typically provide between 25 and 35 hours per week.

You’ll be involved in:

• Driving moving trucks around Christchurch and surrounding areas

• Loading and unloading furniture, appliances, and household goods

• Completing home moves, deliveries, and transport jobs

• Working closely with your team to get the job done safely and efficiently

• Communicating with customers in a friendly and professional way

• Taking real care with customers’ homes and belongings

This is physical work, so you’ll need to be fit, capable, and happy to get stuck in.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Class 2 licence

• Has a clean and reliable driving record

• Has experience in furniture removals, moving, deliveries, transport, or similar hands-on work

• Is reliable, punctual, and hardworking

• Works well in a team and has a good attitude

• Communicates clearly with customers and teammates

• Takes care when handling furniture and belongings

• Can stay positive, even on the big days

A Class 4 licence would be a big bonus, but it’s not essential.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude. We can work with skills, but we need people who show up, care about the job, and fit well with the team.
