About the Role
G&T Catering is looking for an experienced, hands‑on Operations Manager to help lead our next chapter. 40 hours salaried, plus bonus opportunity
Alternative weekends on call.
Events can be held onsite and offsite, so some travel around the city involved. Preferably have Duty Managers Certificate.
Although a catering/events background is ideal, we welcome applicants with solid operations experience from any hospitality setting
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing day‑to‑day catering operations across multiple sites and events
Leading, supporting, and developing front‑of‑house and kitchen teams
Managing supplier relationships, stock levels, and cost efficiencies
Ensuring all food safety, compliance, and operational standards are met
Coordinating logistics for events, deliveries, and staffing
Working closely with leadership to streamline processes and improve performance
Monitoring budgets, forecasting needs, and contributing to business planning
Upholding G&T Catering’s reputation for exceptional service and reliability
About you:
You’re a natural organiser who thrives in fast‑paced environments and knows how to keep many moving parts running smoothly. You bring a calm, solutions‑focused mindset to every challenge and take pride in delivering exceptional service. You’re confident leading teams, building strong relationships, and stepping in wherever needed to keep operations humming. You enjoy improving systems, spotting inefficiencies, and creating structure that helps people do their best work. Most importantly, you care about quality, in the food, the service, and the experience we deliver to every client.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in hospitality, catering, or event operations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams
Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
A calm, solutions‑focused approach in fast‑paced environments
Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
Confidence with scheduling, budgeting, and operational planning
A full driver’s licence
