The Opportunity
Polished HR is growing and looking to take on an experienced HR professional on a contract basis to support client delivery across a variety of HR projects and advisory work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working directly with business owners and leaders.
What You’ll Be Doing
You may be engaged across a mix of:
Providing HR and Employment Relations advice
Supporting disciplinary processes, investigations, and people issues
Developing policies, procedures, and employment agreements
Creating or reviewing position descriptions
Assisting with recruitment activities (advertising, screening, interview support)
Supporting onboarding, performance, and development initiatives
Delivering practical, business-focused HR solutions for SME clients
(Work will vary depending on your strengths and current client needs.)
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong generalist HR experience (ideally senior-level)
Is confident working independently and directly with clients
Provides pragmatic, commercially-minded advice
Communicates clearly and builds trusted relationships
Is comfortable flexing between advisory, project, and hands-on delivery work
Has sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation
Consulting or contracting experience is preferable but not essential.
